Peter Gaarn

Peter is a senior consultant & social architect with SPRING Network.  Peter has over 35 years of extensive experience in strategic change work, innovative organizational design, cultural transformation and executive development and coaching.  What distinguishes Peter is his broad set of competencies and his ability to drive strategic change efforts from concept to results.  Peter is uniquely skilled in hi-tech, hyper growth, and global business environments where dynamic change is the norm and strategic alignment, organizational agility and sustainable performance are essential to business success.

Peter spent 25 years as an internal consultant/director at Hewlett Packard and Lockheed-Martin.  Over the past decade Peter has been an independent consultant serving both profit and not for profit organizations.  Peter has deep knowledge in high tech, manufacturing, education and most recently health care.  

At the community level, he has worked at the intersection of local government, non-profits and educational institutions to improve and transform the systems and coordination between agencies to better serve their constituents.  

Peter has a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MSW from the University of California, Berkeley.  He also serves on 3 Boards in his community.  Peter is the Chairman for the Board of Trustees for Encompass Community Services, a $24M multi-services agency in Santa Cruz, California;  the Treasurer for the Board of Directors for The Center for Earth Wisdom, a start up organization in Boulder Creek, California;  and the Co-Chair for the Advisory Board for Lighthouse Bank, a 7 year old local community bank in Santa Cruz California.
